Nancy Betler is a teacher and a reader who shares her passion about reading with everyone. She is instrumental in the lives of so many students, as Talent Development Teacher at Greenway Park and Billingsville Elementary. Betler is helping them grow as learners and readers. These students know she loves to read and that makes them excited about reading.
She also donates books to students and to little book boxes all over Charlotte. This is a way that she feels she is making a difference. It is through small acts that people can make a big difference. She’s certainly doing so in Mecklenburg County.
Betler has even set up days in the summer where her children and their friends get together to read and enjoy each others’ company. It is a time to share and one that they will remember well into adulthood. This time spent with others, and a good book, is priceless.
