Brittany Nocito has taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade at Matthews Elementary School. She wears her love of reading on her sleeve for kids to see and emulate. Aside from the inspiration she gives her own students through tireless efforts in providing authentic reading and writing experiences, she is a champion of ALL students, guiding other teachers with book selection, strategies and creating authentic lessons to grow not just skills but a love of reading.

Nocito also provides training for teachers and parents after school, as well as tutoring for students. She doesn’t stop there. She is a learner as well, and continues to seek opportunities to grow her skill set. As such, she is often called upon to teach teachers at the district level and also to provide input at the district level on important literacy decisions.
