Whitney Stein joined the Read Charlotte team in December 2021 as Communications Coordinator, after working in local news for more than a decade. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Elon University. Whitney grew up in West Virginia and, while she misses the mountain state, now happily calls Charlotte home, along with her husband, daughter, two dogs, and cat. Whitney is thrilled to be a part of the Read Charlotte team, as reading is a lifelong love of hers and a skill she believes has the power to change children’s lives. One of her (many) favorite childhood books is Anne of Green Gables. She remembers piling stacks of books on her parents’ laps every chance she got (an early To Be Read pile!), and is now enjoying being on the parent side of that scenario with her book-loving daughter.
