In fall 2025, Read Charlotte launched Literacy Listens, a professional learning podcast series focused on listening comprehension. We used an AI-powered platform called Wondercraft to turn research and other written text, curated by Read Charlotte, into a series of 13 podcast episodes.
Listening comprehension has been a major focus of Read Charlotte’s work in recent years, as it’s a critical yet often overlooked literacy skill. It’s one of the strongest early predictors of reading comprehension.
We created Literacy Listens as a way for educators to learn on the go. The podcast can serve as a standalone resource, or as a companion to self-paced learning modules on the Listening Comprehension Resource Center. It’s available on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
