A2i helps teachers optimize instructional time, differentiate instruction (across Tiers 1, 2, and 3), and organize and deliver effective small group reading instruction with their existing research-based instructional materials. The web-based platform combines quick, adaptive assessments of word reading, vocabulary, and comprehension with evidence-based algorithms for grades Pre-K-3.
Read Charlotte has tracked the research behind A2i since 2017, and considers it to be one of the most promising, high-impact solutions we’ve seen with strong evidence of improving K-3 reading outcomes.
One local charter school began using A2i in grades K-1 fall 2021, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools began a pilot of A2i in six elementary schools in grades K-1 fall 2022. We look forward to seeing the impact that A2i can help educators make in our schools.
